TnT Bike Club is a complete character and talent development pathway that gives children an opportunity to hone their riding skills, meet new friends, and develop a lifelong love of cycling.
Your child will learn new skills, pick up practical tips and knowledge and develop a safer, more thoughtful approach to becoming a better rider. Above all they will have the opportunity to exercise and explore the outdoors through a safe, structured, supervised and inclusive learning experience.
Whether your child is just starting out or is already a high-flier, there is a programme for them!
TnT Bike Club offers three skill levels to best suit your child’s ability:
For children new to off-road biking and are currently riding confidently on smooth, wide cycling paths. This programme is for those who want to become more confident on a bike and progress to slightly steeper, harder, intermediate terrain.
For riders comfortable on intermediate tracks that have been riding for at least 1-2 years. This level is ideal for children who want to develop more flow, increase speed and add some style to their riding. For safety reasons the Learn to Train programme must be completed before children can be booked into the advanced Learn to Compete programme.
For confident, faster riders confident on steep trails and tight switchbacks that have been riding for at least 2 years. This level is for those who have completed our Learn to Train level and want to learn to jump, rail turns and ride more technically demanding tracks.
Each skill level is available as a 6-week term or as an ongoing External CCA
We meet once for two hours a week for 6 weeks, like an after-school club. Lots of fun, new skills and practical learning!
This is an option for children who wish to training competitively in cycling sports and intend to be excused from school CCAs.
Your child will follow our Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) pathway curriculum to develop higher technical skills. We will train in a group at least three times a week and will have weekly 1:1 sessions with your coach. Schedule and training plans will be customised based on their goals. Traveling overseas for training and competition exposure is to be expected.
With the approval of your school’s principal, SBS will liaise with the HOD PE/CCA of your child’s school and will provide monthly attendance, achievements, reports and other relevant documents at the end of every month.
